| Claire Newton is an associate and focuses her practice on employment and business litigation and executive advocacy. She has handled a range of employment disputes, including discrimination and wrongful termination. She has also litigated a variety of matters, including breach of contract claims, breach of non-competition agreements and discrimination claims. Prior to joining Shilepsky Hartley Robb, Ms. Newton was in the litigation practice group at Robinson & Cole, LLP where she worked on a broad range of business and insurance litigation matters.
Ms. Newton has litigated cases in both federal and state courts in Massachusetts and the Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination. For three consecutive years she has been selected by Thomson Reuters to be listed in Super Lawyers’ Massachusetts Rising Stars.
Ms. Newton earned her A.B., magna cum laude and phi beta kappa, from Bowdoin College and her J.D. from Boston College Law School.
Ms. Newton is admitted to practice in Massachusetts as well as before the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts and the First Circuit Court of Appeals. She is a member of the Boston Bar Association and the Women’s Bar Association.
