- Nancy S. Shilepsky received a 2009 Scholar-Mentor Award presented by Massachusetts Continuing Legal Education Inc. on January 28, 2010. The award acknowledges and honors only four distinguished members of the legal community each year who have “raised the bar” through their outstanding contributions to legal education and exceptional service to the profession by volunteering their time and expertise to MCLE programs and publications.
2009

- Barbara A. Robb presented to physicians at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, a teaching hospital of Harvard Medical School, on November 5, 2009. The topic was Negotiation of Employment Agreements for Physicians.

- Katherine J. Michon presented at Massachusetts Continuing Legal Education's seminar, Handling Workplace Retaliation and Mishandled Investigations, to be held on Thursday, April 2, 2009.
- Katherine J. Michon received a favorable determination in a pregnancy-related gender discrimination case before the Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination. Following a three-day Public Hearing, the Commission found in favor of the firm’s client, a financial analyst, determining that she had been effectively terminated just days before she gave birth, and that she was deprived of her rights under the Massachusetts Maternity Leave Act. The Commission also awarded the firm’s client $25,000 in emotional distress damages.
2008

- Lawrence J. Casey successfully defended a multinational high-tech services company and its Chief Financial Officer against race and age discrimination and retaliation claims brought by a former senior executive seeking an award in excess of $2,400,000. After an eight day trial, the jury awarded a verdict in favor of our client on all counts.
- Nancy S. Shilepsky was honored by the Jewish Alliance for Law & Social Action (JALSA) for her Commitment to Civil Rights at its Sixth Annual Meeting on February 10, 2008.
- Katherine J. Michon authored an article, "Lost Your Job? Put Yourself In the Best Position Possible" which was published by Women's Business Boston in its February 2008 issue.

- Barbara A. Robb and Shana I. - Barbara A. Robb has been named a 2006 "Up and Coming Lawyer" by Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly. To achieve this honor, an attorney must be in practice for less than ten years but already have distinguished him or herself in some manner and appear poised for greater achievement.
- Nancy S. Shilepsky and H. James Hartley co-chaired a Massachusetts Continuing Legal Education program, Representing the Corporate Executive in Employment Matters, on June 14, 2006.
- H. James Hartley presented at a Massachusetts Continuing Legal Education program, Equity and Equity-Related Compensation, on May 16, 2006.

Robb revised their chapters as well, “Pregnancy Discrimination” and “Introduction to the Practice of Employment Law”, respectively. The revised edition was published in April 2006.
- Katherine J. Michon presented regarding The Pros and Cons of Arbitration Agreements in the Employment Context on April 4, 2006 as part of the Boston Bar Association's Labor and Employment Law Section Brown Bag Lunch series.
2005
- Lawrence J. Casey and H. James Hartley recently won the firm’s first arbitration case since Shilepsky O'Connell’s opening in July 2005. On November 23, 2005, an arbitration panel issued an award in favor of the firm’s client, a senior compliance executive, on his claim for breach of the terms of a change of control agreement. Including fees and costs, the award was in excess of $1million.
- James E. O'Connell, Jr. and Jennifer A. Yelen won Shilepsky O'Connell's first jury trial since the firm's opening in July 2005. In November 2005, O'Connell and Yelen represented a Massachusetts-based, international company in a multi-count suit brought by a former employee. After a week of trial testimony, a Middlesex County jury returned a verdict for the firm's client.
- Lawrence J. Casey presented the employee’s case at You Be the Judge – An HR Courtroom Drama, sponsored by the Northeast Human Resources Association, on December 15, 2005.
- H. James Hartley spoke about executive employment agreements on December 6, 2005 as part of the Boston Bar Association's Labor and Employment Law Section Brown Bag Lunch series.
- Katherine J. Michon co-chaired the Massachusetts Continuing Legal Education's 8th Annual Employment Law Conference, held on December 2, 2005. Nancy S. Shilepsky and Lawrence J. Casey presented on employment discrimination and electronic discovery, respectively.

- Lawrence J. Casey and Nancy S. Shilepsky spoke about current trends in executive agreements and compensation at a meeting of VPOG (Vice Presidents of Operations Group) on June 8, 2005 in Lexington, Massachusetts.
- Katherine J. Michon co-authored "Top Ten MCAD Decisions Of 2004: A Complainant's Perspective," which was published in the Massachusetts Bar Institute's Section Review, Vol. 7, No. 2, in June 2005.
- Nancy S. Shilepsky co-chaired and Barbara A. Robb presented at a Massachusetts Continuing Legal Education program, Wrongful Termination and Exceptions to Employment at Will, on May 19, 2005.
- Nancy S. Shilepsky was awarded the Kevin Larkin Memorial Award for Public Service by the Massachusetts Lesbian & Gay Bar Association in May 2005.
- Katherine J. Michon was a contributing author to the “Employment 101” chapter of Winning Legal Strategies for Employment Law: What Every Company Should Know About Labor Law Legal Compliance, published by Aspatore, Inc. in April 2005.

- Barbara A. Robb spoke at a Massachusetts Continuing Legal Education program, Representing Clients Before the MCAD, on January 27, 2005.
- Lawrence J. Casey and Nancy S. Shilepsky successfully overturned prior case law in Stonehill College v. MCAD, a case that was listed in the January 3, 2005 issue of Massachusetts Lawyer's Weekly as the #1 "Most Important Decision of 2004" because it "rewrote" the way bias cases are handled in Massachusetts.
